Target group:

Objectives:

To help the unemployed and out-of-school young persons, disabled persons, ex-prisoners, women after child-care leave, women over 40 of Kretinga region to (re-)integrate into the labour market through training, increasing their motivation and developing their general labour skills.

Goals:

  1. to develop training programmes taking into account the specific needs of each group of the unemployed and following the principles of innovation;
  2. to implement the principles of gender equality in employability;
  3. to exchange knowledge, skills and methods with trans-national partners;
  4. to disseminate information on activities under the development partnership project;
  5. to impact changes in the employability policy on the local and national level;
  6. to organize realisation of the training programmes for the target groups of unemployed;
  7. to establish “Home for Activity” where the target groups of unemployed will have possibility to gain practical skills and to impact changes in the employment system;
  8. to improve communication skills of “Home for Activity” participants;
  9. to establish self-help centres in villages of Kretinga region.

Innovation:

  1. Administration of the project „(Re-)integration to the labour market in Kretinga region“.
  2. Development of the training programmes designed for unemployed and out-of-school young persons, disabled persons, ex-prisoners, women after child-care leave and women over 40.
  3. Selection of target groups – unemployed and out-of-school young persons, disabled people, ex-prisoners, women after child-care leave and women over 40.
  4. Training of the target groups under the developed training programmes
  5. Establishing of „ Home for Activity – employers’ network “uniting local employers.
  6. Practise of labour skills of the target groups in the organisations of employers participating in the „ Home for Activity – employers’ network “.
  7. Formation of the employability policy with the aid of mass-media and organising events that would serve as the measure to involve politicians.

Activities:

  1. Developed training programmes designed for unemployed and out-of-school young persons, disabled people, ex-prisoners, women after child-care leave, women over 40.
  2. Selected unemployed and out-of-school young persons, disabled people, ex-prisoners, women after child-care leave, women over 40 living in Kretinga region and their specific target groups formed.
  3. Organised training courses under specially developed training programmes for 460 representatives of the target groups.
  4. Established „ Home for Activity – employers’ network“ uniting from 10 to 20 local employers.
  5. Conditions provided for 160 representatives of the target groups to practise their labour skills in the organisations of employers participating in the „ Home for Activity – employers’ network“.
  6. Prepared and published publication – guidelines „Good practise in labour search“, which introduces analysis of the target groups employability situation in Kretinga region before starting of the project and after its completion and provides the guidelines for improvement of the employability policy and practise.
  7. Organized international seminar and final conference which will be attended by politicians (from 5 to 10) from the European Union countries and Lithuania.

Prospective outcomes:
  1. each participant of the project will attend classes of active training designed for certain target group. This will provide each of them with a possibility to change their personality, to acquire general labour knowledge and to try adapting in the contemporary labour market (460 participants). They will be able to change their way of thinking as well as social status and economic standing;
  2. partners participating in realisation of the project will be introduced to the principles of gender equality and equal opportunities for both genders. The partners will be able to better understand expectations of the target groups and to take them into account when developing programmes. This could be considered as a long-term impact to the partners while further implementing the activities of integration and reintegration into the labour market in Kretinga region;
  3. Approximately 35 % of direct beneficiaries of the support will be employed during the project. After the project – 45 % of the project participants;
  4. seasonal unemployment level will decrease, i.e. in cold season when there are no seasonal jobs related to tourism and services, the number of persons registered with the Labour Exchange will decrease by 5%.
Prospective impact:

Changed stereotypical attitudes prevailing in the society in respect of the discriminated target groups – ex-prisoners, disabled persons, women over 40 – that these people are not potentially good employees and therefore not worth investing. During and after the project the relations between the employers and employees will be changing what would allow for further improvements in work environment and awareness that partnership is a key to business success
