Target group:

People addicted to psichoactive substances.

Objectives:

Develop fluent and systematic network helping people addicted to psichoactive substances and to improve the possibilities for ex drug-users for reintegration to work and to society. The project aims to develop strategies to remove barriers and encourage employers to consider the potential benefits of recruiting ex drug-user; influence political and strategic planning and development of a more integrated approach to the long-term infrastructure for the employment of ex drug-users with more complex needs.

Goals:

Examine and share the experience with transnational partners, working with labour insertion; analyse the target group needs; develop systematic and multifunctional program for integration/reintegration to the labour market and the society; prepare working methodology for organizations providing services for the target group; test and implement the methodology in practice and access the efficacy; provide knowledge and ideas for governing institutions to influence the strategic planning and development of a more integrated and effective approach to the long-term infrastructure for the employment of ex drug-users; provide and spread the information about project activity through the mass communication and internet.

Innovation:

A new system of motivation, medical detoxication, rehabilitation and reintegration to the labour market of ex drug-users is being created.

  1. Change the public attitude to the members of the target group;

Prospective outcomes:
  1. More positive public attitude towards the members of a target group;
  2. Continued partnership of a Development partners after the end of the project;
  3. Better employment possibilities for ex drug-users.
Prospective impact:
  1. Change the public attitude to the members of the target group;
  2. Create a long term infrastructure to ensure partnership of Development Partners after the project ends;
  3. Prepare and provide proposals for governing institutions stimulating the changes in existent employment policy to improve the employability of ex drug-users and to support the organizations representing target group;

  5. Examine the existent political means to initiate employability.

Activities:

  1. Exchange of information and experiences.
  2. Parallel development of innovative approaches.
  3. Import, export or adoption of new approaches.
  4. Joint development.
  5. Exchange of trainees/trainers/staff.

Planned results:

  1. Report working with employers. The end result for the common objective Working with Employers will be a report detailing what the barriers are, (which will be target group specific) and what the solutions and needs are. This strategy approach to employers will be achieved through clear development of relevant activities: research; work with employers.
  2. Report resettlement. The exchange of information and possible import of good instruments or ideas will conclude in a report in which best practices, things to do and not to do, related to the resettlement of our clients are points of attention.
  3. Report social network. The exchange of information and possible import of good instruments or ideas will conclude in a report in which best practices, things to do and not to do, related to social network of our clients to support their reintegration are points of attention.
  4. Review exportation assessment. A short review of our experiences in importing the Dutch assessment by other partners and their feedback will be presented in a short review.
  5. Review exchange of information about long term infrastructure. A short review of our exchange of experiences related to this subject. Points of attention include lobbying to improve the possibilities to create these facilities for clients who will probably need this kind of support for the rest of their lives.
  6. Evaluation report of the project. It is recognised that Monitoring & Evaluation overlays all five common objectives. It is anticipated that two Evaluations will take place in the lifetime of the transnational partnership. KEY recognises the importance of monitoring project activities throughout the partnership’s lifetime, such as the success of our meetings etc.
